- Has anybody played recently with Rockwell's WinRPI95 release 1.15?
-
- I use a Zoltrix rpi modem (yes yes, I know...). Recently I installed
- Winrpi for windows 95 -- it worked well, much to my amazement.
-
- But it caused problems faxing with Winfax 4. Thinking life was
- simple, I told Winfax to select the non rpi modem (ie the original
- modem settings as detected by Win95), while dial-up network was told
- to continue using rpi.
-
- So-naturally-everything stopped working.
-
- After a lengthy struggle I've managed to remove all modem settings
- and re-install the original, Win95-detected 14.4 non rpi modem.During
- that process, I noticed the rpi modem is shown as a little yellow
- telephone in the support list; while the original is a small green
- --well, I think it's dog crap actually.
-
- So now the questions. 1) Does anybody know if there's a significance
- in the icons that appear beside the modems installed list?
-
- and 2) I'd like to re-install rpi (it was definitely quicker). Does
- anybody know how to get it to work with Winfax Pro v.4?
-
- I'd appreciate some advice please...
- Best wishes..
-
- Pete
